Coloring During the Coronavirus Pandemic
Coloring Can Reduce Stress
At Genki World, we tested the benefits of coloring. It proved relaxing, and also a lot of fun. A great activity while sheltering in place.
The Research: Studies show that coloring can reduce stress and increase creativity. A study at the University of West England showed that participants who colored for 20 minutes reported being more content, more energetic and calmer, than after reading a book.
The Practice: Coloring can help reduce stress.
Our Experience
We’ll let the coloring, and some with clever captions, speak for themselves. See work below.

Wow! Adult coloring, who’d have thunk? During these stressful times, creating art is a relaxing and fun hobby to do while we’re staying in our homes. I feel so much happier seeing these colorful works of art. Thank you for sharing.

Going to give coloring a try during this stay-at-home period. I’m all about finding new ways to distract myself and relax
